Support of Topical Yeast and Fungal Issues on Cats, Dogs and Horses
Description
Description
Propythium Effervescent Tablets
The key, patented component of this product is a harmless little microscopic algae called Pythium oligandum. It normally lives in the soil where it works via mycoparasitism, consuming other fungi and yeast for survival. Once it has eaten all the fungi/yeast present it encapsulates and returns to the earth where it came from.
Useful for: all topical fungal or yeast of dogs, cats and horses, including yeasty skin, feet and ears. Suitable for dry, sensitive, chapped or irritation-prone skin.
Propythium contains an incredible microscopic, non-pathogenic (doesn’t harm plants or animals) algae-like organism that normally lives in the soil. There are over 50 species of it so far discovered but among the most useful are those discovered around the roots of many plants around the world, in particular Pythium oligandrum.
It works via mycoparasitism. In essence, it consumes other fungi for survival. It attacks those organisms, extracting nutrients such as nitrogen, carbon, and nutrients for reproduction, and killing the organism in the process. It then creates zoospores that actively seek out more of that fungi and it’s spores.
Ingredients: Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sorbitol, Silica, Panicum miliaceum, Pythium oligandrum, PEG 6000, Sodium Carbonate
Uses: for the support of topical yeast and fungal issues on cats, dogs and horses (skin, paw, hoof, claw).
1) Coat / Skin
- Dissolve 1 tablet in 2 litres of lukewarm water (≈34 °C).
- Allow to activate for 20–30 minutes.
- Apply by bathing or by spraying directly onto the skin.
- Let dry naturally.
- Repeat 3 times in a row. That should be all that's necessary.
- Use the solution within 36 hours.
2) More Concentrated Spray / Paw soak
- Dissolve 1/2 tablet in 250ml of lukewarm water (≈34 °C). Recommend half a water bottle for smaller dogs. For bigger dogs, you can use a full tablet in 500ml of warm water (and larer water bottle).
- Place the foot in a basin/bucket for 30 seconds to 1 minute (if possible!)
- Wrap the foot if possible for ~20 minutes but not totally necessary
-
Remove wrap and allow to dry naturally.
- Use can use the same solution again later in the day but remember this is not a chemical action, it's mechanical. We need the grains to contact the skin and stay in the fur. The second dose will thus be weaker, but usable.
- Repeat 3 days in a row. That should be all that's necessary.
Caution: Do not mix with other products.
Storage: Keep dry at 15-25°C. Avoid contact with other substances.
Warning: For animal use only. Keep away from children. Not for oral use.
