Baking cookies has always been an enjoyable task in our home. During the holidays we gather three generations together and spend an entire day mixing and rolling dough, baking, and decorating thousands of tiny mounds of delicious sweetness. This generally means we will also be tripping and dancing around the six or eight dogs scattered across the kitchen floor, hoping to catch any goodies that we might drop.
We decided it was time to bake cookies for the dogs too, since they deserve to have some fun of their own. We made cookies that would not only offer the dogs a treat, but also provide health benefits as well. (But you don't have to tell them they're eating something that's good for them!)
